The first day of the new school year was full of anxious energy from students and especially the Champion Schools faculty and staff. Parents gave kisses, hugs and wished goodluck to their children after they were checked in. Others stayed a little while longer until the buses departed for a final wave goodbye. Transporting 130 students to three different campuses was the first logistical challenge in getting back to school. Ms. Sawer, Ms. Beth, Coach Colin, Coach Taylor, Barry the driver and I accomplished the task nicely. Once assembled on the main campus, students and faculty spent some time getting to know their classrooms and new teachers. Champion Schools welcomes over 150 new students, 10 teachers and coaches, including myself to the team this year.
